Cheryl Anne May Runions (Kimberley) passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at Kingston General Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was in her 75th year.
Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Keith and Viola (Raymo) Kimberley; her brother, Wayne Kimberley; and her former husband, Laurie Pyle. She will be deeply missed by her son, Evan Pyle (Sarita), and her daughter, Amy Boehler (Dana Neumann); her sisters, Sheila Porter (Lawrence) and Rhonda Kimberley-Young (Bob Young); and her cherished granddaughters, who were the pride and joy of her life: Aceah, Kate, Anna, and Lauren, as well as her great-granddaughter, Kiara. Cheryl was a much-loved aunt, and her nephews will dearly miss her.
Cheryl devoted her working life to caring for others. As a Registered Nursing Assistant, she spent many years nursing in long-term care, but it was her work in home care that she was most passionate about, where her patience, gentleness, and quiet compassion were felt one-on-one by those she served. Caring came naturally to Cheryl — it was simply who she was.
Those who knew Cheryl will remember her kind and generous spirit, her love of her family and her dogs, and her appreciation for life’s simple comforts. She had a great sense of humour and a gentle way of bringing ease and reassurance to the people around her, often with a well-timed smile or laugh.
Visitation will be held the Milestone Funeral Homes - Parham Chapel on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A service of remembrance will be held at a later date. The family sincerely thanks the medical team at Kingston General Hospital for their care and compassion. In keeping with Cheryl’s love of animals, donations to the Kingston Humane Society in her memory would be appreciated.
