Delbert Gibson Obituary Gibson, Delbert John (Retired employee of Ontario Hydro) Peacefully after brief struggle with lung cancer, at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Tuesday April 12, 2011. Delbert John Gibson at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Doris E Larocque for 51 years. Dear father of Susan and her husband the Rev Brad Weeks of Peterborough. Son of the late David J Gibson, Ruth Amy and stepfather Harold Amy. Brother of Elva Haggarty (Reg), Reg (Lorraine), Norma Forbes (the late Rick), Donna Duncombe (Brian), Dale Amy (Cheryl). Predeceased by his sister Rae Hannah (Willis). Brother in law of Winnifred Sargeant (Warren Branscombe), and the late Tom Sargeant. Very special family member to Sheila and the late Donald Weeks. Missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Following cremation a memorial visitation will be held at Goodfellow's Funeral Home Parham, on Sunday April 17 from 2-4 pm. Celebration of life will be held at the Sharbot Lake United Church on Monday April 18, 2011 at 11 am. Interment of ashes in Zealand United Church Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family
