Herbert John Clark
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Herbert John (Herbie John) Clark, age 83, on April 24, 2025, at Ed’s House in Cobourg, ON.
He was the loving husband of Mary Ellen Clark (née Parks) and a devoted father to Jill Amanda Clark. Cherished brother to Shirley Sedore, Joye (Len) Thompson, and Sharon (Harold) Dion, and a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Lillian Clark.
Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic and quiet resilience — a dependable and loyal man who kept busy, took pride in fixing/building things, and never sought recognition for the help he gave to others. He was a quiet but steady presence, a kind soul who showed his love through his actions rather than words.
An avid sportsman, Herb loved hockey — both playing and watching — and also enjoyed baseball, golf, hunting, and fishing. He found peace in the outdoors and joy in the simple things of life.
Those who knew Herb will remember him as a loyal friend and someone you could always count on.
Herb’s passing was peaceful, and his family takes comfort in knowing his journey was gentle and free from suffering.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Herb’s memory may be made to Ed’s House in Cobourg, whose compassionate care brought comfort and dignity during his final days.
A social gathering will take place at Milestone Funeral Homes - Northbrook Chapel on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1 to 3pm
Forever loved, always remembered!
