In Loving Memory of L. Brent Bell
December 12, 1958 – May 31, 2025
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of L. Brent Bell, who died peacefully in his sleep on May 31, 2025, while on a mini vacation with the love of his life, Kim VanRompaey. He was 66 years old.
Born December 12, 1958, Brent was the beloved son of the late Graydon and Grace Bell (née Ingram). He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Jenna Bell, (Lucas) his stepson, D.J. VanRompaey (Maddy); his treasured granddaughter, Kristina and her father Justin Moore.
Brent was the loving brother of Marty Bell (Judy), and was predeceased by his sister Melanie (Dan Young). He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Lois Weber; brother-in-law Dan Weber (Sheryl); and sister-in-law Ann Weber (Dave Johnston). He was loved by many nieces and nephews, and will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.
He leaves behind Kim VanRompaey, his soulmate and best friend, who will carry his love in her heart forever.
Brent proudly served for many years as a volunteer firefighter with the Campbellford-Seymour Fire Department.
Known for his incredible work ethic, Brent was a man who could fix anything. Affectionately called "MacGyver" by those who knew him best, he approached life with a knack for problem-solving. His love for hunting and fishing brought him peace and joy throughout his life.
A private family service will take place at the Milestone Funeral home in Northbrook, ON on June 21st at 1 p.m. followed by a lunch gathering at the Lions Club in Northbrook, ON. Friends and extended family are invited to a celebration of Brent’s life on July 12th at 1p.m. at the Curling Club in Campbellford, Ontario, where memories will be shared and his life honored.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Campbellford-Seymour Fire Department or, in honour of his beloved grand-dogs, to the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward.
