Marie Goodfellow Obituary GOODFELLOW, MARIE CORNELIA (Dermott) (Retired teacher, Ottawa Board of Education) (Ottawa University B.A., M. Ed) 1934-2011 After many journeys to other parts of the world, Marie left behind an Alzheimer world on Monday September 5, at Providence Manor, Kingston to travel elsewhere. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Ella Dermott, husband Robert Goodfellow and sister Shirley Babcook. Survived by her sister Audrey Shillington, niece Karla Hoodmaker (John) Littleton Colorado and their children Evan, Lauren and Ella Shirley and her faithful cousin Barbara McEvilla. Although we will miss her greatly, we take comfort in the memories of this kind and generous woman. A special thank you to the dedicated staff on Montreal 5, who cared for Marie for seven years and her companions Sharron Saunders and Michelle Cressman. In keeping with Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private interment and celebrating of Marie's Life will take place at a later date. For those who wish to honour her memory, donations to the K.G.H Providence Manor site or the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
