It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stepanie Wakeham on May 18, 2026, at her home in Northbrook, Ontario at the age of 60. Stephanie is survived by her Mother, Katherine (Roger) Gallant of Wellington Ontario and her Father, Ernest Wakeham of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia as well as her sister, Marcia MacKinnon of Elmvale, Ontario. She was Mother to three beautiful children; Nicole, James (Megan) and Michael, and Grandmother to Elizabeth, Mackenzie, Bailey, Maddie, Sammy and Jack as well as another Granddaughter expected shortly.
Stephanie had a difficult life that tested her until the day she passed. We were extremely proud of how hard she worked to overcome the demons of her past and was living independently and thriving. Steph had a keen mind and a wicked sense of humour as well as a deeply caring soul and as such will be missed by her friends in Northbrook and really anyone who had the occasion to spend any time with her.
We take comfort in the fact that Steph is no longer constrained by her Earthly barriers and can now roam free, without pain, amongst the Cosmos.
Fly free dear soul, and Rest in Peace.
